    Hallo

Hope this is the right area for this post.

I am currently working a thread in Malware Removal for my laptop with Vista OS. I am using an old computer with XP SP2, while it is cleaned. I am having to reformat the C:\ drive every 2nd day, as I "lose" my internet connection, am denied access to various things, and my Comodo firewall stops working correctly. This is after only using my e mail and visiting a few safe sites, such as this one.

I would like to know what I can do to prevent whatever it is that is getting into my computer. So far I have tried disabling remote access, telnet, and messenger under services. I set Comodo firewall to deny all inbound connections. Disabled netbios over TCP/IP. I do this after each reformat and install Comodo off a clean memory stick before putting in my LAN cable, yet I am still being hit by malware causing similar problems to my laptop that is being cleaned.
Can anyone suggest what other steps I can take? I have asked my ISP about changing my IP as my current one is static.

    Thanks in advance

P.S I have been online for 2 1/2 hours and Comodo firewall reports that it has blocked 694 intrusion attempts. Is this normal for a home user?
