Wow...my bloodtest only restricted eating for 8 hrs prior, and I was starving by the time I got home from the test, so I definately feel for you!!

    Bah!!
Read "FASTING: THE ULTIMATE DIET" by Allan Cott

The first time you go for 3 days or longer, will be the last time
you ever take 14 hours seriously.
And you will lose weight. FAST.
    And you will feel better.
    And you will look better.
In a week long fast which is incredibly easy to do,
you can expect to lose 20 pounds. And we are NOT
talking water loss here. Your body goes into fat burning
    mode within a day.
And here's the great part. Once you get past the first
day, it's the easiest thing you could imagine.
Most of what passes for hunger to the typical sedentary
citizen is simply the later stage of digestion. Once your
stomach is empty, there is no such discomfort.
True hunger typically won't set in any sooner than
a week or so, even for a first time fast.

What about the shakes and the weakness!!??

Do they go away after the first day too??

When I get tested (diabetic three times a year) it`s normally a 12 hour fasting period. Kind of a pain in the a** but I`ve gotten used to it. I`m limited to water only...but allowed as much of that as I need to help stave off the hunger. Thing is though...I LOVE to eat heh heh heh. Good luck hope they can help with yer problem.

After the first 24 hours, you start feeling better than you have in
a very long time. It's is almost magical. I highly suggest you seek
out this book and read it. It's one of the 3 or 4 most important
books I've ever read and I've read thousands of books in my day.
    (i'm in my late 40's)

It went well, had not much taken and felt fine and am now back on track with eating :)

Getting medication on friday with any luck and we'll see some improvements hopefully :D:D

I highly suggest seeking medical advice before taking on such a crazy diet.

You have no idea whatsoever of what you speak.
I suggested to read the book. In the book it suggests the
circumstances in which one should fast, including medical supervision.
Fasting has gone on since the time of Christ and before.
What's more, you would be amazed by the list of great minds through
the centuries who advocated fasting. Not for the purpose of dieting,
but rather for the purpose of clearing the brain/spirit of the haze that
sets into the minds of many.
Including those who attack things they know nothing of......

Excuse me! You have no idea who you are talking to and equally what my profession or experience in this field may be. Some may read your post and instantly take on such a fast with no previous experience of fasting. Indeed, they may have health issues which would be dangerous to fast whatsoever.

My advice still stands. Regardless of reading a book or not, before serious fasting is undertaken, medical advice should be sought.

I dont think its meant for 15 yr olds in the 90-105lbs to be fasting  Hehe, I simply didnt eat, and spent all day on my comp. I didnt even know i was hungry... It was probably about a 4 day fast. I am very confident i could do a week or longer, of course i drank like 2 gallons of water before i started :D Although i didnt even mean to start fasting, i simply lost track of time.

It is you who have no idea of who you are talking to.
    I have 20+ INTENSIVE years of nutritional/biomechanical
studies. At one time I could have taught it in a university.
    Your comment of
"I highly suggest seeking medical advice before taking on such a crazy diet" says everything I need to know about your
    experience regarding health and nutrition.
I made it clear that I was suggesting to read the book.
You might remember that part. The book that
tells the reader to have medical supervision.

Watch what you're doing both of you, arguments aren't tolerated here....

Don't like taking sides, but Lev has a point, anyone would have to think twice, or three times, first before beginning a diet like that.

I didn't start the argument here. Or the bashing of ideas.
If you're a diabetic, you know better than to do anything at all
without consulting a doctor first. And anyone with a similar
medical problem would know to seek supervision as well.
And finally, as I stated several times already, read the book.
