Blu Ray Bdxl Burning Speed

Does USB connection of the burner matter?
There are USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ones.
But both burners are x4 for BDXL discs anyway (and so are the discs):

Depends what you are attaching the drives to. My external portable (not blueray) DVD burner has a Y-connection. It uses 2 USB ports to supply enough power when connected to a laptop.
I don't see if these drives use a Y-connection.
