Blu_ray......

I recently built a new computer, I installed an LG Blu-ray burner. I tried to play a blu-ray disc last night. It played all of the previews fine, but when it came to the play menu I couldn't get any of the buttons to highlight and activate the play mode or any other extra. I stuck a different blu-ray disc and it play fine. I was told by LG support that it may be a codec issue. Any suggestions from anyone? If it is a codec issue, where can I get one for free?

Thanks for the suggestion, but after calling LG support a 2nd the tech tolld me to just hit enter 2 times when it gets to the menu screen. I tried it, and it goes right in the movie then. She said that they are aware of the issue, but didn't say if they are working on a fix....

 

Great, but if it costs to call the helpline to find out that info I am sure they won't be working on a fix LOL Unless there have been many complaints about it :-D

not sure what software you are using..but i would un-install it, and install it again ,,and give it a try.

also,,check the software site for updates.

i use cyber-link to play my blu-ray movies,,and its great...got me a sony blu-ray player from frys electronic for $89..it was a return item...but works great.

blu ray is great...my tv looks better,,,but computer is not far behind,,,,watch em both on tv and computer..
