I have a Dell A940 All-In-One printer and recently it's been acting up. Every time I print something there are horizontal blue lines printed with the words/image. I tried taking out the cartridges and realigning them. I also unplugged the printer from the computer and plugged it back in. Still have the annoying blue lines. My cartridges are both about half full so I'd rather not replace em. Let me know if you guys have any ideas for fixin it. Thanks.

For my epson, there's a utility to clean the cartridge heads as well as realigning them, can you do this with your dell?

Well I found the cleaning utility and used it twice. Still no luck. It's strange because the lines look like they're supposed to be there. They're constant and not streaky. Thanks

I have been doing my refills for a couple of years and what I found is when something like that happens (for some reason) the print head gets some kind of damage; if Head cleaning utilities does not help, sometimes is recomended a very delicate head cleaning with a solution of water and alcohol or a comercial cleaning solution, but the only thing that will fix that is changing the cartrige!
