    Hi

What Windows version and Service Pack (if applicable) are you using?
What is the full BSOD message?
Can you boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) and see if you BSOD?
Please name all security applications you have installed?

To aid with the BSOD message please read and follw the advice HERE (do remember to attach as per the instructions in the guide your BSOD dump file, for completness the instructions on how to attach items to the forum are HERE)

    Hi

Yes if NTLDR is missing its a serious issue in the main, but if Dell have sent you a restore disk and you have used it, the things that maybe missing are the drivers and if you enter Device Manager, please tell us what devices have yellow ! marks by them as I feel that the "working not like it should" is due to drivers,

Also tell us what security applicatons you have installed as well as what Windows version Service Pack you are using?

If you have restored using the Dell Restore disk then the BSOD dump files are now not needed.

Hi if you have a broken video card still in that PC, then wait till the new one arrives to replace the broken one as a not working fan can cause the video card to overheat and BSOD the PC.

Once you have installed the new Video card then see if the PC works ok and boots, if not then use the restore disks, but do note you will loose any data on that PCs hard drive in the restore process.

    Hi

Oh it was just the fan you changed on the graphic card and not a new graphic card, its very likely that the card is bad, if you have a spare graphic card or a friend has one you can use to test, pop that in your PC to see if its not something else (motherboard) that is failing.

What is the BSOD message in full?

At what point when you have booted to the restore disk do you get the BSOD?

Have you tried a new graphic card yet or are you still using the fixed one with new fan? need to try a spare graphic card that is basically out of box (no modificatiosn like new fan etc) see if a friend has a spare.

What is the full BSOD message? as I've nto seen one that states that you have a virus.

What issues did you haev with the re-install of Windows on the new HDD? any error messages (in full please), do a step by step of what happens when you boot to the Restore CD? or can you not get the restore CD to boot (check in the BIOS that 1st boot device is CDROM).

    Hi

Did you uninstall the graphic card drivers before installing the new card and then re-install the drivers?

What is the BSOD message as this is going to help and the instructions for finding the minidump and gaining the message are in post #2, or write down the message of the BSOD when it shows on the screen as I have never seen one that says you have a virus, so would need to knwo the message in full?

Well your best option now is a clean install of Windows and as you never answered 90% of my questions I cannot direct you to the approprieate guide, so all of them are below.

You WILL need an Windows CD/DVD (depends on version) or could if the restore partition (or Restore CDs where supplied) reboot and press CTRL and F11 to open the restore menu list and follow the prompts.

    Windows XP
    Windows Vista
    Windows 7
*all from BlackVipers guides which are very good.

    Hi

What is the STOP code at the bottom, in full (cannot read it properly sadly) but I would be very inclined to do a full re-install of Windows as you see to have more issues than just the GPU. A clean install will rule our any other hardware or software at fault, it would be my logical next step.

    Hi

Sadly you do seem to have a nasty malware and likely it could be a Rootkit or Boot Virus, to fix you up a trip to our malware forum and its guide is advisable, BUT I would be inclined as you have had many issues to do a clean new re-install of Windows.
