Hi, this is my first post. I successfully got rid of a very difficult zeroaccess and abnow redirect due to this great forum! Now I get the blue screen after being on my computer for anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple of hours. After I get the blue screen, windows will not boot and brings up a black screen that says: Windows could not start. The following is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system Repair with windows setup CD ROM Select "r" at first screen.
This doesn't happen every time, but the bluescreen has been. I don't have a windows CD to do what it says. The bluescreen has said these things: KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR ***STOP:0x00000077 (0xc000000E, 0xc000000E, 0x00000000, 0x164ee000)

    also
    STOP: 0x0000007a (0xc07ba380, 0xc000000e, 0xf7470e52, 0x26b36860) Atapi.sys-Address f7470e52 base at f7461000, datestamp 4802539d

    &
    Atapi.sys - Address f746e50c base at f7461000, Datestamp 4802539d

I've defragmented the hard drive and registry, and in general cleaned up the computer with TuneUpUtilities2011 and D7 and IO bit tool. I'm just trying what I can to get this taken care of.
Do I have to obtain a Windows CD-ROM somewhere, or is there any fix for this? I run Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3. My system Restore will only go back a week, but it's been about a month since my computer was infected.

    Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the replies! I will do these things when I get home tonight. I have run chkdsk but not with those options, that I know of so I will do that. I haven't physically changed any components :confused
I will be home in about 9 hours.
