    Hello,

I have been getting the blue screen below twice already within the last week, or so, as I started playing Flight Simulator FSX. The laptop did not do it at first, until (I think) I started using a Saitek yoke (but I am guessing)....

My laptop - HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC with Intel Core i-7-2670QM @2.20GHz, with 8GB of installed RAM, 64-bit. I run Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    Blue Screen details:

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 9f
    BCP1: 0000000000000003
    BCP2: FFFFFA800BC8ED30
    BCP3: FFFFF80000B9C3D8
    BCP4: FFFFFA800DDE5010
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\122812-33431-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Martino\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-61947-0.sysdata.xml

I believe the blue screen on the main screen was saying something like POWER_STATE....

Before I literally take this laptop and smash it and buy a new one (it's 4 months old and I'd rather buy a new one than spend countless hours trying to figure out how to not fix it....), can anyone please help me?? I have also noticed that under System Properties - Device Manager, there is an "Other Devices" subfolder, with an "Unknown Device" folder in it, with no driver information...maybe the stupid yoke? Or is this a power problem? Or anything else...? :confused

thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

    Hi

We would need the full BSOD message to help fully as partial messages do not tell the whole story.

What you can do is to attach the logs from those locations and as they are likely to be large then zip them up and attach as per this guide HERE

What you can do is to unplug the yoke if still plugged in and then in Device Manager right click and uninstall that Unknown Device, then reboot and see if its still there.

Guessing of the limited message and part of the bugcheck code its likely to be this 0x9f = DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

and likely a driver so the uninstall of the Unknown device may work and if your yoke added any drivers uninstall those from Add/Remove, reboot and check if PC works ok.

Hi my friend , Merry Christmas :)

As DavidGP told you before we need the bsod code , during start up you are able to push F2 , esc or F8 entering to

    Advanced Boot Options

    opting for

Disable automatic restart on system failure

when the error is appeared you have informed us about it :wave
