On startup ( home edition xp) my computer just displays a blue screen. I have tried to boot up in safe mode and in the previous working settings, and have tried to repair on bootup on the xp CD, but all to no avail. Are there any suggestions for a desperate soul.

    thanks in advance:

At what stage after power up do you get the BSOD? (blue screen of death)
Do you get to the windows splash screen, or do you see anything on the monitor before this occurs?

Had you installed any new drivers or programs or added any new hardware?

If you cannot boot into safe mode it may be a hardware issue, but these questions need to be answered first!

    Regards....

press F8(until you get the safe, normal screen) & choose best config that worked best
