Blue Screen Error

Laptop Model: HP 6440
OS: XP 32bit SP3

I am hoping to obtain some assistance diagnosing this minidump file. I work in IT and have a user that is experiencing blue screen error messages upon log off/restart.

Hardware diagnostics did not show any obvious hardware failures. I have attached the minidump text information and below is the information recorded from event viewer. Any assistance would be great, I believe this started after a recent Windows patch. Thank you!

Error code 1000007f, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 ba338d70, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

Anyone have any advice on what to troubleshoot? I have a few machines doing the same thing. I may be better off re-imaging but wanted to see if anyone has seen anything similar. Thanks

from reading microsoft's article, it could be the RAM or the CPU. Are the CPU's being overclocked? Also check to see if you can boot into safe mode and see if all the RAM is being detected. Also, what kind of antivrus software is being ran on the systems? As some antivirus programs, install their on kernel files in the registry. If this is the case then you can go into regedit and remove some strings ( I think it's like 2) and this should stop that BSOD from happening.
