blue screen errors windows xp

    When I go into a specific user there are .dll file errors, and then the icons don't load onto the desktop. I then have to ctrl alt del to log off then I log back in and the icons are there, but everything is running slower. There has also been 3 occasions where there was a blue screen error. I have ran ad-aware but there are always several items that can not be deleted. please help if you can.
