    Hello everyone
I have an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC bought from Costco ~2.5 years ago. Outside of the fan running frequently, it's been fine. It has Win 7. This morning, for the second time in a month, lifting the screen to waken it caused it to display the blue screen with some comments such (forgot most of it) 'if it is not the first time......disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing......'; it mentioned that it was going to 'dump memory' and when the screen changed it mentioned something about 'fat32' to be verified.
I re-started after shutting down with the 'hold power' method and all seems fine. This is what happened the first time as well. Windows had installed Explorer-11 automatically ~November but because it affected my Outlook email's look for work, I removed it and was left with Explorer-10; not really sure if this has anything to do with the blue screen issue.

I have read that this could be an overheating problem, known to HP.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Not sure how to show you what is needed. Just copying and pasting the info on the dump file; both blue screens list driver ntoskrnl.exe as the problem, I think.

Opened up the same info as the previous 'view' but was able to save a read as a text file and attached it below.
Would you rather have the scan results 'copy-pasted'? Pls let me know.
    Thanks

It actually gives some more information. No, this is fine.

Have you tried updating your video drivers?

No, I haven't; could you lead the way for me?

I am having almost the exact same issue. My dv6 is just over a year old and I have been having this problem since I purchased it, stubbornly believing that I could correct it myself.

It seems to happen whenever I am gaming. But is very rare when my computer is idle or performing basic tasks like browsing the web.

I will attach my dump files - apologies if I am hijacking this thread, please do let me know if I should start a separate thread.

Attached are my last 5 BSOD minidump files, let me know if you need any more.

Sorry for the double post, I didn't realize there was an error with my previous attachment.

Please find all the necessary information in the attached file.

Sure, what kind of video card does it have?

It's an HP laptop with an integrated Intel HD Graphics Family; device manager tells me it is 'working well'.

You are right. The software tells me that I have
    -Graphics driver
    -Wireless networking

    new drivers available for installation.

Safe to go ahead and do it?

I would. Set a system restore point first.

Set a system restore and did download the updated drivers.
Any way I can figure out if the issue is resolved?
