I have a GF7600GT AGP 512MB DDR2 Nvidia graphics card that i think is giving me a blue screen.

here is some info from the dump file:
    Bug Check Code: 0x00000116
    Parameter 1: 0x85821008
    Parameter 2: 0x8f532be0
    Parameter 3: 0x00000000
    Parameter 4: 0x00000002
    Processor: 32-bit
    Major version: 15
    Minor Version: 7601

Ive removed the graphics card from the computer atm and it seams to be running ok.

I can get more info about the computer sompoint tomorrow as its at my fathers house.

is there any visual signs on the board that would indicate it worn out?

    OS: windows 7

    Welcome to MG's Boydy.

Carefully clean out the case, coolers, fans and the graphics card, even a thin film of dust on some chipset coolers, etc., can cause excess heat build up. Ensure there is sufficient airflow through the case or remove the side case and point a household fan in during testing.

    Thanks for the reply.

So first plan of action is to clean up the card and any other dust inside the computer its self and try running with out the side cover (i have no fan :-o )
im assuming there is software that i could install and run that will tell me the temperatures of the card while im running it ?

What should i run while testing it? it just generally crashes upon start up and sometimes while on the internet.

GPU-Z should give you the card temps.

If it crashes on startup with the same error, it may be that the PSU isn't providing enough power, check the voltages in the BIOS.

Could you give me instructions how to check it in the BIOS and what kind of voltages should i be getting.

That dump info was the latest one from when it crashed upon start up.

Ill check the card temps tomorrow and report back.

First enter the BIOS on boot, Del, F1, F2 are common keys, then find the page with the voltages.

The BIOS should list the current values for:
CPU Core <- depends on CPU fitted
    +3.3 V
    +5 V
    +12 V
    -12 V
    -5 V
The fixed values should all be within a very small % margin, eg. +3.135v - 3.5v for the nominal 3.3v value.

    okay so heres the voltages
    CPU core voltage: 1.31v
    DDR Voltage: 2.58v
    Vcc 3.3v ---- 3.28v
    Vcc 5.0v ---- 5.02v
    +12v ---- 11.76v
    Voltage battery: 3.06v
    CPU temperature 36C
    System temperature 29C
    CPU fan speed 3308RPM
    SYS fan speed 2766RPM
    PWR fan speed 0RPM <???

Currently in the process of getting the card temps although its crashing when its at the desktop so ive ran it in safe mode to get the installer

In GPU-Z, temperatures etc. are under the Sensors tab.

sorry i didnt relise the pictures are that big,
i guess the pictures took the focus away from my comment lol
