Recently i decided to add some RAM to my PC, was 16GB previously so i added another 16GB for a total of 32GB. (recently started doing some DJing and Music production, more intensive ram usage)

Anyways i tried adding them to the slots and the computer wouldn't boot, would just give me a DRAM light.. eventually i put them where the old ram was and the old ram in the new slots. Everything seemed fine.. and it didnt give me issues.. until the computer froze and gave me a blue screen with Machine Check Exception.

While trying to get the new Ram sticks to work, i did reset the CMOS on the motherboard which basically reset all my settings. I was trying to remember what i had set it to previously when building this computer years ago.. couldnt remember but i thought i had it on XMP (asus MOBO).. noticed the fan was very loud with that while gaming and it said 40% overclock everytime my PC booted which i definitely dont remember seeing so i changed it back to default.

So to try and solve the problem , i did remove the new sticks and put the old sticks back (currently only has 16GB of RAM) thought the new sticks might have been defective but even with my original setup now i occasionally get that freeze and blue screen. Its not instantly.. there not a set time it happens.. but so far has happened at least twice a day.

Tried rolling to an older version of ICUE (corsair) because i did install a newer version when putting in the new RAM.. rolled it back to the previous version as when the computer froze so did the RGB so i assumed it could have been that program.. not the case still happens with the older version.

I heard its best to update BIOS, so i did update that to the latest version.. so far it hasn't crashed but its only been about 30 mins with that.

Is there a log i can post where we can deep dive into the error source? corrupt file? i read it is most likely hardware.. but nothing has really changed right now the PC is back to the original state it was running fine for years.

Could you post the exact MOBO model and specs of the build with what OS you have installed? Assuming Windows, did you try the usual system file check?
