I reformatted my PC several times now and I still get the blue screen with the kernel memory dump message.
    What can be done?

Running windows xp home edition on a HP pc.

    thx.

I had a Thinkpad that would do the same thing. Turned out to be a bad connection on the RAM chip. Try reseating the ram. Fast and free.

took one of the ram chips out, was left with 256 ran the computer fine then it busted again. Put that one back in and took the other one out, ran fine, then busted again.
What now? Could it be i need to replace them both? Could it be something other than the ram? Could it be that XP doesn't run on just 256 mb of ram and thus it crashing on both?

Are you getting any error codes on the BSOD?
