I have had no problems while actively using the computer, Dell Dim 8250, 256Ram, 120GB, P4 CPU. Have not added any HW or SW.

After it is a idle for a few minutes, it crashes with STOP: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, 0x7A. Can turn off and restart with no problems.

It was suggested that it is a hard drive problem. I DL'd and ran drive check SW from manufacturer, Westerndigital. It crashed about half thru it the first time, but completed on the second try and said the drive is OK.

I ran Norton Antivirus and Housecall from the web and no virus found.

I ran Norton's Windows check and all OK.

I ran Norton's disk check and it crashed a couple minutes into it.

I ran a normal defrag and it crashed about 2 minutes into it.

I ran Maxtor one touch to back up my data and it crashed about half way thru. I finished the BU with normal cute/paste on remaining files.

Even tho the WD test said the drive is OK ... can I believe that ?

Is there something else I should be checking ?

Did you check your memory just in case it's going bad?
Also you might want to put more memory into your computer just in case you don't have enough (256 meg seems a little low to me).
