My computer works great...I really do not have any issues with it other than this...

I can power it off and on fine, never any issues with load time or anything else.

However, when I try to put it on stand-by and then boot back up, I get the blue screen of death?

The message I get is something like this...

    "IRQL not less or equal

ox805024ba is the last code in the tech info

then it says dump of physical memory...

I was having this issue and then I upgraded by BIOS (just downloaded the newest version) and Ram (two 1gig sticks) ...neither helped

I have a dell e1505 running Win. XP :wave

There is a troubleshooting wizard on the dell.com website for just this problem. Search 168551 in Support and Troubleshooting to find the troubleshooting wizard for the blue screen error.

Check out this mini tutorial by Adrynalyne on interpreting your dump.

As augie mentioned, I think you will find that 95% of the time, debugging a memory dump will yield you far more results than trying to interpret what a troubleshooting wizard may tell ya.
