I'm extremely unlucky with computers, and this is my first time attempting to solve the problem without giving up.

2 weeks ago my Windows XP D600 showed up the error IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal with the usual blue screen information. The stop code was 0x0000000A (0xFF1711F2), 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804D9B64

I have tried Last Good Configuration, system restore, and putting up an image of my laptop from a few months back, but nothing has helped the error. It appeared every 2 hours before, but now it's become much more recent, happening as soon as windows logs me in. Any advice would be great!

Since you can't use an image that was made a few months back, I'd tend to rule out software and say it is probably a hardware problem.

I found a thread from here with the exact same parameters (the four alpha-numeric strings after the stop error)

it doesn't look like this was resolved.
    Is a D600 an IBM?

Found one elsewhere on a Toshiba, with a solution...disabling the wireless card seemed to work.

and another on a Dell with the same four parameters

I found another thread. The person updated his/her wireless driver and the problem was solved.
So go to the website of your brand computer, search for drivers for your laptop and update the wireless driver.

Okay, I'll try updating it soon. Thanks Plodr, I'll tell you how it goes to see if it works or not.

I don't think a D600 is an IBM, mostly because i just googled it and have no idea what it really means..

actually, maybe there are some bad setors on your had drive. you could run "chkdsk /r" to fix the bad setors.
if there is no errors on your hard disk, i am afraid your memory might be have problem.
