    Hi there

    I followed some instructions i found on the site to help work out my bcod problem. Anyway here's what i got.

    kd> !analyze -v
    *******************************************************************************

    * Bugcheck Analysis *
    * *
    *******************************************************************************

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
    This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
    the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
    as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
    Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
    coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
    /NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
    hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
    If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
    system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
    Arg2: bf801651, The address that the exception occurred at

    Hi,

    I'm not sure how to read that analysis but I do see FF in there. Anyway, I was just glancing at a PC magazine today and saw this tool for BlueScreens. I wonder if it might help pinpoint the pertinent information in that error? It comes in a standalone format (zip) file so no installation necessary if you want to try it out.

    I just thought the bit was relevant which reads:

    PROCESS_NAME: firefox.exe

    That software is probably useful, so thanks! Not totally sure how to draw any conclusions from it though...

    I'm reading it as something to do with win32k.sys but don't understand what to do with it. Not having much luck googling win32k.sys and firefox.exe but there are hits but nothing that matches your problem yet.
