Yesterday I started to experience problem with my desktop HP TouchSmart Vista computer. After I turn it on, blue screen of death appears. I tried safe mode, command prompt, last known good configuration, repair your computer, but nothing works. Still the same blue screen appears every time and it wont let me get to safe mode. Problem started from Internet Security virus. I found an advice online, to download Malwarebytes and run a full scan, and than delete the virus. I deleted all the viruses that were checked, but it didn't fix the problem. After that I deleted files with the word "Pup", and that's when the blue screen started to appear. The error code is oxooooc1F5. I tried booting from a system recovery reinstalling CD, but it still doesn't work. When the blue screen appears, it says "disable bios memory option catching or shadowing, but I don't see it in boot menu. Also when i insert CD into drive, it makes grinding noise. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!

I started to download the cd.

I pressed F2 at the start up, and i get "Choose an operating system to start, or press TAB to select a tool. Below that i have Ramdisk settings and in tools i have Windows Memory Diagnostic.

When i press Esc i get to boot, and it tells me to select boot device:

ST3500620AS or hp CDDVDW TS-T633P, but i cant move down and select the second one.

Also does it matter on which cd i burn the Avira rescue thing? I have CD-R and DVD-R.

So I tried the recovery CD and this is what I got:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

    1) Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.

    2) Click repair your computer

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

Thanks for all those options. I have a few questions.

    1) I downloaded Hotflix and unzipped the file. How to I burn it to a CD now, since I can't burn them through WMP?

    2) Original W7 installation disk is pretty expensive, but they also have them on eBay for like 10$. Will those be good or not, and can you borrow this CD from a computer shop?

If you mean you downloaded a HotFix, I don't think you can install it unless windows is running. I have never applied a windows fix to a computer outside of windows.
    2. Since it says Beta 7, I'm not sure a Win 7 disk would work.
I suspect the eBay Win 7 disk for $10 is some sort of scam. I wouldn't buy it.
I also don't expect a computer shop to loan you a Win 7 CD.

I did check and for the geeky method is now ads the following:
So if any of your friends has a Win 7 installation disk, maybe you can borrow it and try to see if it works.

Yes i have another computer, but i never burned ISO file. I downloaded ImgBurn, now just need to burn it properly.

Scroll down to Easy Picker Mode
    http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6392
Click the first icon on the left: Write image file to disc (an ISO is an image file)

Scroll down to 3.2.1 and be sure that the proper optical drive is selected if you have more than one installed on your computer.

Once ImgBurn is installed, I believe you can click the ISO and select burn with ImgBurn.

If you have questions ask. I don't have ImgBurn installed in Win 7 because my 7 is a netbook and has no optical drive.
