Blue screen with white writing

Hi, a couple of times now I have received a blue screen with white writing which says "-check to be sure you have adequate disc space - if a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates - try changing video adapters - check with your hardwear vendor for any BIOS updates - disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Can anyone please tell me what to do.
This has happened about 3 times over the last few weeks and after each time when I turn on again, I get a message to say the computer has recovered from a serious error.
