hi evryone.. i dont know if im in right place for this but i really need help on this..

im using xp and i think its fully updated untill a week ago. i've been using my system for about ane and a half years. about a week ago, i came back from my college to home and brought along my pc and my pc is like riding on horses all da way since da road is pretty bad. so when im home, i replug evrything as its a new one. da problem is, it keeps hv flashing blue screen when i start it. i can use my pc after a few tries but i will end with flashing blue screen again later.

but about 2-3 days ago, i cant even log to windows since the flashing blue screen will appear before the boot screen.

i've tried start windows normally, last known good configuration, and safe mode but none is working.

    this is my pc spec:
    athlon x2 2.6ghz
    gigabyte ga-ma69g-s3h (mboard)
    RAM: patriot 2x1gb ddr2
    GRAPHIC: gigabyte 8600gt
    HDISK: 500gb westernD sata
    80gb seagate barracuda sata
20gb i thinks its samsung IDE
    PSU: 500w power logic atrix

if possible, i dont want to format any of my hdisk since all of it is almost full with files i dont want to lose.

oh yes, im not sure what its written when the blue screen occur seen its just flashy.. i've tried defrag and checkdisk before and it did repair something that i thought fix da prob but nope it didnt. i've checkdisk twice and second time its also did repair sumthing which also makes me thought it fixes da prob but not.... and now i cant use my pc becoz it wont even hv windows loading screen.

    what should i do?????

if u need more info, tell me.. i'll try post ASAP..

p/s: sorry for my bad english :p

Have you opened up the case and checked all connections to make sure all are secure? Unplug and reseat your RAM. Same thing for any graphics cards you may have.

besides startup- what causes the blue screen? can you recreate it? There is a string of hexadecimal (letters and numbers) at the bottom. something along the lines of "0x000000" what is this number?
