    Hi,

Ill try and keep this to the point. Ive been having intermittent bluscreen crashes for a couple of months wasnt sure what was causing it so i decided to come on here.

However, a freind sugested i use a piece of softwear called WhoCrashed. This has shown me that it was AVG causing problems.

Also after a bit of digging it appears that AVG released am update in Decemeber that caused blue screen crashed in 64bit OS's.

So ive uninstalled AVG, installed Avast was advices this by the same person. And fingers crossed it wont blue screen on me again.

If it does though, what information aside from my system specs should i post.

    Thanks as allways :)
    Brian.

Make sure you use the AVG uninstaller to get rid of everything. I think the latest ver. of AVG is much improved since the bugged ver. was released; if not, Avast! MSE or Avira all work well and are pretty light on resources.

If it happens again, post as much info as you can about your PC/OS and any recent changes made, along with some recent zipped minidump files attached so we can try to debug them.
