first of all, i'm sorry for posting this on the amp page; i felt more people would see it here. this is just tragic news. there is a special place in hell for whoever committed this crime. the record collection is mind boggling. and please take note of the instruments; the 3-P90 ES-350 was the working prototype for the ES-5 and the '63 strat was indeed Magic Sam's; the very same one you always see him pictured with. anybody who can help, has any questions (serial #s, etc) or MOST OF ALL comes across any of these items please contact james directly; his e-dress is at the bottom. thanks much for looking, pete kanaras

    BEGIN MESSAGE

I just received a note forwarded from harp player James Harman. His house
was just burglarized and his entire collection of blues and music stuff from
the last 40 years disappeared. So in case you suddenly hear about a bunch
of cool stuff coming up for sale cheap, here's his partial list of what was
    stolen from him:

    <<records.
The ones I had back in high school some of them have writing on the labels
or on the cover on LP's. Some say JH or JH+DJ or Jimmy+Dorothy. This was from the period of my dating my first wife. All the 45's were in custom sleeves, some were that manila? yellowish color of a shipping envelope. The rest were in dull red sleeves.

Many of them had writing on the sleeve listing the titles, artist, label
issue number, session and release dates, when known and the sidemen when
known. Some of the LP's have writing on covers, in the same fashion. Jimmy Harman, Jimmy + Dorothy or JH+DJ appears on many covers. I had most all Atlantic, Stax, Chess, Checker, Argo, Duke, Excello, Peacock, Vee Jay, Sun, Imperial, labels...just all the blues, rhythm & blues, soul, and old rock N' Roll
stuff. I also had a huge jazz collection in there. Blue Note, Prestige, Impulse etc. There were many EP"s and picture sleeve singles too. They were all packed in the regular long boxes for 45's that rack jobbers and distributers use. The boxes had been taped up, opened and reataped many times. They had tape with a green & red Christmas theme covered by
clear tape from a later taping.

The LP's were in old wooden lettuce crates from the grocery store. Some were very old some had tape along the bottom edge as they were splitting. It's just the largest amount of blues, R&B, Soul, and old rock n' Roll records you've ever seen in your life time. I can only pray they leave them together and try to sell as a collection.

The list of guitars is ridiculous:
    1946 Gibson sunburst ES350 w/three P-90 pick-ups in orig. brown case.
    1946 Gibson sunburst L48 w/ gold hardware & deArmond pu-brown case.
1963 Fender Stratocaster-white w/ white pickguard (it was Magic Sam's)
1961 Fender Precision bass shell pink w/white pick guard(L. Boehmer's)
1959 National Town & Country model 2 pick ups, Les Paul shape-b. case
1958 Fender Telecaster maple neck-butterscotch w/white pick guard.
1964 Supro red fiberglass Resophonic no cutaway-chrome pie plate.
1940 Stella acoustic resonator painted sunburst alligator case.

    The pistols:
one very old nickel plated-pearl handled- 45 cal-over & under derringer.
two like new, 1962 Colt Cobra 38 cal 1" barrel specials...unregistered!

My chances of ever finding any of this is pitiful, but ...you gotta try.
Help if you can, I really appreicate it. Thank you, James Harman >>>

It is sad to hear when someones prize possesions are stolen.
I also had all my firearms stolen a few years back.
I have no use for a thief.

I will keep my eye's open on ebay, doubt if they show up there.
