    I've been using NirSoft utilities for several years. After seeing your post I downloaded BlueScreenView. The value that I see is that you can review the blue screen and a list of drivers that were active at the time of the crash. There are two downsides.
    (1) Most of my crashes are not blue screens. But I've had three that I had forgotten. After using BlueScreenView, I realized that I had crashed three times because I had needed to see the blue screen again before I was able to repair the underlying cause.
    (2) I had to tell my virus program to allow it to run. Many of NirSoft's programs generate false positives because they use techniques that are exploited by viruses. I trust his programs. Like I said, I've used them for years.

    Yes, I've been using his tools for years as well. But what I was really wanting to hear was how it compares to the Microsoft Debugging Tools.
