Whenever I copy photos from my phone to any of the computers I always have to go hunting for them afterwards as they don't go to the set BT location, in this case D:\Pictures, and end up in Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Recent. This with Android 9 but it was the same with my Microsoft Lumia phone previously.

    Anyone?

I'm on Windows 7 and attach the phone and tablets by USB charging cable. (Only one of our computers is bluetooth capable). I open Windows Explorer, find the pictures on the phone I want to copy to a computer (sometimes desktop, sometime laptop). I use my right mouse button, drag them to the desktop and when I lift my finger from the right mouse button, I select copy here.
After that I can move them where I want.

Thanks plodr. Really want to avoid the need for cables so have created a workaround with a desktop shortcut. That saves having to hunt for them but it's frustrating when BT is so fast and easy but then puts them in the wrong folder

Since only one of my Windows devices is Bluetooth capable, I just grab cables from habit. :p

Yes, I have a program that insists on putting the results in a folder in a location I NEVER use. The first few times, I really had to hunt to track down the file.

For files that get saved in unknown where-abouts I keep 'Everything' installed. Once fired up, with only the first 3 or 4 letters of the download's name entered in the search box, 'Everything' has already narrowed it down to exact storage location. Right click and select 'open file location' and you have your game on.

Everything is just about the first thing I install on any new build/version. A must have.

I don't want to give up a USB port.
