bluetooth installation problem

I'm not sure if this is a software or driver related issue so if I'm not in the right forum please re-direct me.
I recently received a new bluetooth dongle v1.2 (BT-TL 05A01) by TANLANG. Upon attempting to install I get several errors about not being able to locate files from SP-2. these files are kstvtune.ax & ks.sys. I don't know where to find them in SP-2 particularly when it was downloaded from MS instead of being on CD.
I have 2 questions: 1) are these files needed for simple bluetooth syuncing with a Palm Tungsten and a bluetooth phone???
2) If needed what are the pathways???

 

When you say install, do you mean, install with the provided drivers that came with the device?

I did a quick check on my computer, and the two files you are looking for are located:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ks.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\i386\sp2.cab ((within this cabinet file, resides "kstvtune.ax") (since this is an "archive", you may need to extract it.))

Here's how it went down. I have a dell desktower that I loaded Windows XP onto then downloaded SP-2.
When i attempted to install the drivers from the miniCD I started receiving the messages about not being able to find those files. So I stopped and went to the laptop. The process went smoothly without any problems on the laptop.
What do you RX, I do 1st.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. When you say "What do you RX, I do 1st.", what do you mean by this?

I'm fixed...I searched for the file "ksuser.dll", located it and directed the pathway to it during the dialog box and installation completed within a few minutes after that...thanks so much for your help.
essentially you gave me the idea to perform the search for any file that came up as being needed.
