BlueTooth Setup

I am trying to set up my bluetooth headphones to my computer. They have been paired, but the audio will not route to the BT headphones, it keeps coming out of the speakers. Any ideas?:confused

 

I have not been able to find any resources online.

control panel => sound

 

Yes i have tryed that. The audio still routed to the speakers.

 

what software does your computer manage bluetooth with?

 

All i can find is "HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth wireless technology"

 

have you tried initiating the connection with your headset under My Bluetooth places?

also, what brand headphones have you got? some of them, from mobile phone vendors in particular, use a proprietary encryption scheme locking it to their hardware only.
I ran into this trying to connect a Nokia Headset to my PC.

the other thing is, how old is your laptop? could it be an older bluetooth1.1 adapter rather than bluetooth2.0 which I'm not sure, but, think might be necessary necessary for 2channel stereo playback?
