look to see if there is option for the computer to receive the file from you phone and then a popup should come up and then send the file from the phone to the computer by bluetooth and it should accept it and transfer over.

    Hope this helps

The lap shows the phone as installed and the phone says lap under paired devices but when I click send with the phone it says it fails to connect with the pc.
Refresh on the phone finds the pc named lap which is me.
The pc, on devices says error when initializing.
It seems both recognize eac other but are not allowing me to send pictures.
i wonder if this is tracfone's way of disabling luetooth to make you send pix by phone at a charge.

I just wanted to add the following regarding information i just found on my phone.
    I clicked on bluetooth and the choices are;
deactivate, search new device, paired devices and settings
    Under settings are
my device visibiity , my device name, supported services, and my address
Supported services = object push, file transfer, handsfree headset av remote control adv auto.
Non of the supported services seem to respond when you click on them and have no options to work with. I have a usb cable for my camera with the somewhat rectangular little end to recharge but the phones recharing port is too small. i wonder if they sell a smaller one? I will look around.
I think I read that tracfone diabled the usb function but am not sure. I would guess they want you to send a pik to another phone and use minutes to do so.
We are aged and go the phone as an emergency one. because i like to max things out,I thought i would use the features. Apparently you get what you pay for.
Maybe these features are available in more expensive models but I do not think so.
Thank you for listening and we can use the phone for the reason we purchasd it.
I called support and they tell you all these wondeful things and of course contradict each other. My phone is the LG 500 G. for those who maybe reading.

The options should show on the button you usually use to answer a call, when you click on an item, if it does not, then we will need to find a manual for your phone.
The LG 500 G, has only turned up a phone that has none of those things on-can you give more details , so that we can try to find out more about your phone

I was erroneously told blutooth could send photos and now I am told it is only for head sets. You need a special cable that has one end the size of the charger and the other a usb. I hope it exists.
Radio Shack said they feel they have one. I also will not utilze the bluetooth for an ear set as the port for a headset is less costly.
On the good side, it was my first exposure with blue tooth and I got as far as installing each device into the other. The phone was inComputer and in devices and likewise the laptop was recognized in the phone.
Tracfone has diabled the transmission for greedy or business purposes depending upon how you view it. You have to send photos by phone #'s which chew up minutes.
I wish to thank you for your interest and wish I could have saved you trouble. The company took a couple of days to ooze out the truth.

    Hello Peterr,

They are called Data cables and yes they do exist. I got mine with the phone in it's box which one end plugs where the charger goes and the other goes in to the usb port of your PC not only that it transfers data from mobile to PC it also chargers your mobile phone at the same time. Also you wil need to check if the mobile needs software installing on you PC for it to work but depends on what model your phone is.

This is a example of a data cable for my mobile. here is the link http://www.dazlr.com/Samsung-M8910-Pixon12-Data-Cable

My phone is an LT LG500G and I guess I will see if it transfers photos when I get it. The company says it works but we will see. I do not think there is any data transfer involved as there is no place to create data. It is a talk per minute with a camera, recorder, and other gadgets. I don't think you can type into a document or anything like that but could be wrong.
Thank you for the name of the cable. I know what you mean by devices having dual purpose ends as the charger for my laptop has dual purpose on both ends so I can use ac or dc. It has different sizes for the pc port on the other end..

    >>Although the first link did not open the second was the right one. Now I have to bring the phone to Radio Shack and see if it works.
I hope Tracfone did it disable usb as I thought I had read about. The techs seem to think I should be able to transfer pix with the cable you showed me.
    Thank you

The cable enables you to transfer pictures and phonebook data across to your pc as a backup but like i said it depends on the model of the phone and software.

Tracphone... They usually disable those type of data features on their phones so you will be forced to use their services. :(
