Who are they??

Is this create a Poll week?

 

I bought their first album when I was in the service, remember the song "Whole Lotta Rosie" was on it. Their Album "Who Made Who" is in my music library, but "Back in Black" is probably their top seller.I guess I like the guitar player that married the country singer, she does one AC/DC song I've heard, and does it well. But names I'm not up to snuff on. So can't vote w/o further research.

ok to give you some info about AC/DC
they where first formed it 1974 with there first singer bon scott who made many albums they where on a role until he drank him self to death in 1980 :cry:cry (dont party to hard kiddys)
after searching they found Brian who has been with the band for just under 30 years and they still rocking

Brian for me, more to do with my age than anything else.

Gotta say, I don't believe they could have found a better replacement for Bon :dood

If there were no Bon Scott, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation.
He was the main songwriter. The original Back in Black, which was written mostly by Bon, was never recorded due to him dying. The Back in Black we know is a tribute to him.
Brian is probably a better vocalist (and person from what I have read) but without Bon Scott we may not know who AC/DC is.

 

I think Bug is referring to Shania Twain and Mutt Lang. He was their long time Producer and a decent Guitarist.

 

Bon Scott all the way! No one else can do justice to the songs from High Voltage, Jailbreak, Let There Be Rock, Highway To Hell, and Dirty Deeds.

Bon Scott made AC/DC who they are. When he died in 1980 (I've been a fan since before becoming a teenager) I was so sad as I believed no-one could replace him and keep the band real. But Brian Johnson has done an amazingly fantastic deal - of course it is different to Scott, but it is still very much AC/DC in all it's glory. Back in Black is a fantastically awesome album, second only to Highway to Hell IMHO.

Bon Scott is a much better vocalist than Brian Johnson ( who if I am not mistaken was their limo driver) sometimes you can hardly understand what he's singing. Bon Scott was more of a blues sound where brian is just hard rock and a lot of screaming not that I don't think he has done a great job. I strongly suggest Dirty Deeds, Highway to hell and If you want Blood as must have albums.
In the words of Eddie Van Halen " Ac/Dc plays the same song over and over....but it's a great song."
