Bookmarks

At the office I am stuck with Windows 98 and no one can convince the boss it is wayyyy past the time to upgrade. Among the many problems it has a new little quirk has popped up. All the bookmarks have disappeared. I have no idea if they are hiding somewhere or just plain gone. If the computer has taken it upon itself to delete them...well that wouldn't surprise me, but if they have gone into hiding can anyone tell me where to look or better yet how to get them back? I've tried the reboot route several times - no help.

 

Click on My Computer, go to the top and click on Tools,Go to Folder Options, go to View, check the box that says Show all Hidden....
Possible the Properties for the folder had accidentally been changed to hidden.

 

hrlow2 - thanks for the answer back. I did as you suggested and the show all hidden is checked but the bookmarks still are MIA. Now the weird part, while the My Computer window was open, just for grins, I clicked the bookmarks tab and low and behold there they are. Now any idea why I can't get them on any browser window but by taking the long way around thru My Computer I can??
