Boot Disc?

I use Windows Vista on my HP,64bit compluter.I'm trying to find a simple,easy way to make a Boot Up Disc, since I'm planning on going to Windows 7 soon and I never know what may happen.My D drive says "Factory_Image". Could I burn a CD or DVD of my D drive?
I would appreciate any help anyone could give me.

You might take a look at these recovery discs http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/.

I'm never used them but it sounds like it give basic booting options for recovery.

I'm not sure of burning a DVD of your recover partition. How big is it?
Anyone know if htis is possible?

Yes, you could make an image of the hard drive partition.

Your manual should tell you how to make recovery CDs/DVDs.
I burned a set for a new computer I just bought. No additional purchased software was needed; everything was included on the computer to burn the disks. It is exactly the same as on the "hidden" D partition of the hard drive. Get out the manual and start reading. :-D

The hidden partition is used to restore from within windows and the disks are used to restore if windows doesn't load.
