Boot Menu Failure

In my Boot Device Menu I have three hard drives that I can boot to. Thus when I am in the menu I arrow key down to the drive I want to boot and hit enter.

I have not done this procedure in over a year. A year ago I was doing it every day without a hitch. However, today (a year later) when I select a drive to boot to the computer will not boot to that drive. It reverts back to the hard drive that is first listed in the Setup menu.

I have tried changing the drive preferences in Setup and then going to the Boot Menu but the same thing happens.

I have also tried just letting the computer boot to the newly positioned first hard drive in Setup but the same thing still happens - back to the same hard drive.

All drives are showing in Windows Explorer.

    What am I missing here?

This is a Win 7 computer.
