I was wondering if it was possible to boot a slackware install disc if i extract the files from the isos and burned them onto dvd. i have never tried to boot from a dvd before, so before i burn the disc, i want to know if it's possible so that i dont waste a disc.

It shouldn't be a problem, if the files/ISO that you downloaded was bootable to start with. DVD's and CD's boot with the same procedure. :)

There are utilities in Nero that can create bootable disc files, I had the same problem a while back where I thought my xp cd was bootable and in fact wasn't.

thanks. the cd images i have are for cd and nero wont boot them. i had to extract the files using winiso and burn them using nero. should i just make a bootable image with nero and then burn it on the dvd, and another question, can i integrate both discs into one dvd?
