    I am running Windows XP Pro.
    I have an P4 2.5 megHtz processor
    Not too sure on the motherboard.
    Two Maxtor drives, one 30 gig the other 20 gig.
    Nvidia Geoforce 4 video card
    768 Mb ram

    My problem is, My wife turned the computer on a couple of days ago and tried to get on the internet. It froze up on her and she just left it. I came home and turned the computer off and restarted it. It went through the normal process and ran through the disk check. The Windows Logo came up and I was able to get to the login screen. The problem is that the mouse would not respond, neither would the keyboard. I turned it off again and the same thing happens over and over again minus the disk check. No response from anything.
    Every once in a while a blue screen will pop up and tell me that Windows was shut down to prevent damage to my computer.
    It tells us to check to see if we have adequate disk space (which we do). It also says to check the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates or try changing video adapters.
    It says to check with vendor for bios updates, etc.
    The technical information at the bottom of the screen says:
    STOP: 0X0000007E {0XC0000005,0X805B19CB,0XF7945208,0XF7944F08}
    I have tried all I know. Please advise.

    Thank You.

    lol it may sound simple, but have the keyboard and mouse cables maybe popped out?

    I have checked and re-checked the cables.
    The weird thing is that the keyboard works until the login screen. I can get into the bios, but when the login screen appears, there is no response.

    if you're using USB mouse + keyboard try a PS/2 mouse/keyboard and see if you can use them

    you also might try a repair install ... boot with your XP CD and select repair install *not* full install cause you will lose all your data
