Hi, ok from the start. I have two hard drives in my computer, 1 has windows xp on, the other was a storage point. The other week i decided i wanted to try this SUSE linux thing. So with a little help i made another partition, using partition magic. The person who helped set it all up so when i booted my computer i had the choice to either boot with xp or SUSE. Ok all was good for about a week, then i decided this SUSE wasnt for me and decided without hesitation to load up partition magic and just delete them other partitions that were cereated for linux. I did this and just thought it would wipe them away and i would just have my windows xp to fall back onto. However!!!! when i restarted i got this error saying GRUB loading...please wait, GRUB 21 error! straight away i knew i had made some kind of mistake. So i got onto my laptop and was looking around to see if anyone could help me. Just thought i would register here and get the help from here as i have used these forums before when looking for information :) from what i seen on the net alot of people said to load up the windows xp cd and do the recovery console bit and do a fixmbr and fixboot....i was attempting this but when trying to log into the recovery coinsole it would not accpet my admin password, which know is right :| i didnt really have a clue wot to do! I thought maybe i could get windows 98 boot disk and do a fixmbr and fixboot through that but wasnt totally sure. Would that of maybe worked? Anyway in a total panic i just thought im gonna put the windows cd in and format the unpartitioned hard drive (what it said on the screen) and see if that helped. Thankfully when it rebooted i got the option to load either home or pro xp up, which was huge relief as i couldnt afford to lose what was on the primary hard drive. Now since ive got this far could someon perhaps tell me how to normally overcome a problem like that? And could they perhaps tell me how to get rid fo this dual boot options now? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks...Luke
