Hey everybody. I was wondering if anybody knows where I could get some info on booting into a MS Access program. I want to be able to turn on the system, and have it automatically log on and open the program. Any ideas?

I'm not really guy for the job but I would think you could write a small file that you'd add to the start-up menu (msconfig menu) that would launch the program. For the guys that write batch files, it shouldn't be that big of deal; conceptually, it seems easy but, like I said, I'm not the guy for the job.

Thanks for the response. That seems like a good idea. I was thinking something like that (something in start-up) but I didn't think of the batch file part. I'll see if I can dig around the old interweb and find something. Thanks!

Kinda like making a kiosk... a while back I remember someone saying replace explorer as the shell in the registry. Something like this
Just google win xp shell replacement

For the record replacing the shell with the access executable, may cause issues as well. Check out the batch file route first, probably more of what your looking for.

create a short cut in your start up right click properties and set the open in normal window option.

Most impressive option is to create a form or data access page at startup
    1. On the Tools menu, click Startup.
    2. In the Display Form/Page box, click a form or data access page from the current Microsoft Access file.
