I have an issue where on booting the pc up i recieve the error message :

A91501 x1950xtx Bios boot block compatible version .012 bad bios checksum.

As the x1950xtx is mentioned i can only assume it's gfx card related, but any advice on where to start looking ( card related ) would be appreciated.

Full details of the circumstances of the error and system including age please?

Have you changed any hardware lately?

Bad checksum can also be a bad battery CR2032. This holds the value of your hard drive and other equipment to pass to Windows. When the battery gets old, the info don't get passed to Windows.

Plus, it's a cheap fix. The battery is about dime-sized & can be picked up in watch departments or computer stores locally.

    Hope this works
