Shut computer down last night and this morning I get this:

Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external usb drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such a hard drive or cd-rom drive that is failing. Make sure any removeable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.
If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.

Will not boot up????

As well as the above information, did you remove any SDCard/SDCard Reader, or any other devices connected via a USB point?

With no devices connected at all, restart the system again, and confirm whether the error code appears again.

 

Sorry for the delay I am having to go from house to outside building where my office is.

Gateway bought in 2010, I think this is the model DX4840-11e

 

Going back to office and discount everything will be right back
