Bootdisk Query

Not sure if this should be a software question or not but...
Ive got an old 98 pc sitting in my kitchen and a wireless modem/router beside my XP which I use a cable to for speed.Anyway Ive tried installing the driver for the wireless adaptor into the 98 but its now requesting me to insert the Windows floppy which I dont have as I bought the machine a couple of weeks back from some old guy.
I dont know where to get a an installation disk but I have found a site that lets you download bootdisks for free.
Would this suffice?

 

When does this happpen? While installing the drivers?
Sometimes you can click ok & it will find the files on the harddrive.. or look for a win98 folder with the install files in it, some installers copy it to the drive for such purposes.

 

It happens after Ive installed,if that means anything but Ill try clicking ok and get back to you.

 

Computer wont start now.
It starts the post ok.Memory test ok then detects the drives then it says memory test failed press F1 to continue!
I get two results when I continue.
a) it either stops at these messages
ERROR-HIMEM.SYS has detected unreliable XMS memory at address 02000006 XMS driver not installed
To continue press enter

HIMEM.SYS is missing.

or b) Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 3,service B
Press blah blah

Is my OS dead?

Can you boot safe mode?

 

It wont boot in safe mode and that pc is not connected to the net.Ill check your links out and if I can Ill download a repair to this pc and burn it onto a cd.(The floppy drive doesnt work on the old pc either)
