Booting Error!!!!

I installed windows xp pro on my first master hard drive ( C: ) and the next day i installed windows 98 se on my slave hard drive ( D: ). After installing windows 98 se the boot option wouldn't show up and only boot to 98 se, so i went to recovery console and did fixboot and it was back to normal for xp, then when i tried going on windows 98 it gave me this error on the os selection page
I/O Errore multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1) \bootsect.dos

This is what my boot.ini file looks like

If i remember correctly you have to install the oldest OS first the the newest OS.

It go like this win95, win98, win98SE, windows 2000, windows XP, windows vista.

 

Yeah i made a mistake i install xp first and tried installing 98 se after but it didn't work out properly, now im stuck...

 

You can just re-install in the proper order your not stuck yet.

Did you use XP for awhile and build up data you want to keep? If not just go back and start over.

 

i don't wanna start over cuz the computer is really slow and takes a while to install xp so im just gonna try to load it right now

 

Ok, i got the problem fixed, after the os selection thing came back i couldn't access windows 98 so i reinstalled 98 and now its all good xp loads and same with 98
