So, I have a major problem. I have an Averatec 3250 notebook computer running XP home. Not sure what happened but it will not boot up. Error message below.

    Quote:
    Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082)
    (Some copyright shit)
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter v2.15 (2002/10/09)

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

    PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM

Next, it goes into a Screen 2 which reads as follows:

    Quote:
    Boot Failure
Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device
    Press any key when ready

I press a key, and it goes back to Screen 1. This is an endless cycle.

Tried to use recovery disk and the screen noted that it was booting Windows 98 but my system runs XP and my recovery media is XP. Bought a new hard drive. Tried recovery again.... same error message and boot recovery message. I am so confused...PLEASE HELP!! :confused
