   System starts and when the Windows Xp screen comes up it freezes. I don't know whether the problem is hardware or software. I am using a different computer to post this thread

   By "Windows Xp screen" do you mean the one with the progress bar?
   Does it freeze immediatly on that screen or after a few seconds?
