    Hi!

I'm trying to boot my Windows XP Home OS from my External USB drive. I've tried it both by rebooting my laptop and using VMWare - both fail. The Windows logo comes up and a second later I get a BSOD. It just says a problem was detected... says to run CHKDSK /F which I did, no fix. It is a STOP: 0x0000007B error.

Any ideas? Does this have something to do with the master boot record?

    Thanks!
