    Notebook with Windows 7 installed.
Never had any issue before but today when i switched it on i see the message.

BOOTMGR IMAGE IS CORRUPT. THE SYSTEM IS UNABLE TO START

Removing / Replacing the battery allowed it to then start ok.

How can i check this system for an error / possible fix

    Many Thanks

If you download Macrium Reflect free this has a fix boot option, I would recommend running this.

Which battery did you remove? If CMOS then I’d also replace it with a new one. Depending on how old the laptop battery is I’d also consider either calibrating it or replacing that too.

I removed the main notebook battery.
I will look at changing the cmos battery.

Also look at the advised link
