Bootvis issue

Hi Guys need your help..... I cant get any sense out of BOOTVIS. I know this program, so no issues there. Every time I run, I either get error..Perfvis NT Performance tool needs to close, or if I get passed there.... when I open file.... Im not getting any spike fo check boot times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled from 3 different sites...still no joy.....
Anyone with any answers...... PLEASE.

Hi

What Windows version you using?

TBH bootvis will offer you not much in reality if you are after boot speed, you'll really need to look at your apps that are in the startup list and cull them, as for the error look to make sure that task scheduler is active, plus some other core services that if you have been tweaking the service list need activating again.

Thanks for replying Halo. Im running XP Pro, and Im only running 2 apps in Startup, my anti virus and Spyware. Task Manager is up and running with 34 processes, most at idle. I have not been doing any Tweaking with the exception of increasing IE download ability and decreasing Shut down times. Both of these tweaks were carried out under forums guideline.

Should I be running more processes in Start up. This has been working for me for quite a while and I have had success with Bootvis on my old Xp home OS....... Thanks
