I need some help here. I have a DFI Lan Party UT nF4 Ultra D motherboard. All has been great for 6 months or so. I had to reinstall WinXP a couple of weeks ago, and I lost the Marvel Yukon onboard nic, no big deal, I have 2. Now I have lost the other onboard, a NVIDIA nForce has died. Both show up in with no conflicts, just media disconnected. Even with a known good Cat5 line, nothing, no lights nothing. I tossed a PCI nic in, and that is how I am typing this, no problems with it.

No changes made, I did have a bad storm, lost power for about 1 min, but this computer and my router on on a UPS. I lost the Nvidia onboard nic at this point. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, no luck. I was thinking about a lightning problem, but the computer right next to this one has no issues.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your time.

If your on a Ups and still had a min power out on your PC you could be out of luck. Just because the PC next to it is fine does not mean your nic was not fried... sometimes they make it some times they don't. Try reinstalling drivers but if its not finding the nics they are probably gone IMO.
