Boxed vs downloading from the internet?

    Obviously many of you download software via internet. Are they any benefits to buying the software in the box? Example: If you buy Panda titanium at Staples, you get an extended warranty with it.

    Besides what you mentioned above, downloading off the net does not provide the software on CD, and usually no manual.

    However, the advantages rock.

    1. Instant Gratification
    2. Cheaper sometimes

    Definitely agree with number 1!
    Number 2, usually can find cheaper in the store with discounts that frequently occur. But see next line.

    Quite often, you cannot find the software anywhere but online. That is unless it becomes real popular. But there's nothing like number 1 when you need it now.
