Post how many you got first count I got 4. Then, knowing there were 6 I could still only find 4! I like word puzzles so I was quite amazed by my inability to get this one right hehe.

 

I guess I'm a genius. (not!) I got six.

I'm aware of the brain's tendency to skip over "trivial" words, so I look more carefully. Plus I work in a field where trivia and details are critical, so I'm used to focusing on details.

Only 3 ,but then I stared a little harder and saw a sailboat,so that was pretty cool

 

I saw 12 until I put on my reading glasses and then I saw 6.

 

Well, I got six too. Being a Chemist for so many years at least taught me to be observant, LoL! Even so, I’m the greatest speller in the world, I’ll admit.

But yeah, a lot of people overlook the 'f'’s in of, because it's pronounced "ov". and because it's such a common word usage. Actually, I've seen a lot more tricky a versions of "find the 'f'’s than that particular example. There are “count the P’s versions too, using a lot of ‘oh’ type sounds.

I got 6...but when I read the instructions, I looked at it letter for letter...I didn't read it!!

I've heard about that Absynth stuff before...and I also know that Illinois is one of only a couple of states in the union where it is legal!! Is it really all it's cracked up to be?? How safe/unsafe is it?? Not that ANY mind altering substance is safe...but you know what I mean...would it be safer to crack cocaine!?!?!

Absolutely not!!!! We work with kids desperate to get off this and other substances. I know you weren't serious Roger, but still felt it had to be said. You never know who is reading and might be feeling desperate

 

i also only 'read' the letters and not the words.....and i still only got three....and i did it twice!!!

Crap, I've seen this before and I still only got five. I missed the last "of". Oh wait it was chess night tonight, so I've been drinking. I don't feel so bad now .

 

I used to proof read for my last job and the trick to doing these types of puzzles is to read them backwards - all the 'of's stand out then.
