Just curious....Chris just gives me that 'look' LMAO b/c I eat whatever is on hand for breakfast...usually leftovers...stuffing-n-gravy, pizza, lasagnya...etc...today will be left over Jalapeño dip:D Granted, I'm usually up for about 3 hours or so before I eat but at least I'm eating right? *grin*

Anyone else hit the leftovers for breakfast or do you stick to 'traditional' breakfast foods?

I had a croissant for breakfast. Unfortunately it'd didn't do me much good - I'm really quite ill. I've got a really nasty stomach ache and I'm feeling dizzy. It's really quite horrible.

I'm one of those that has to be up for atleast a couple of hours before I develope any bit of an appetite!!

But when I do....it could be aything from a little debbie, bowl of cereal, leftover steak from last night, cold pizza (the best!!), or anything that I would eat for lunch or dinner...i've probly ate it for breakfast!!!!!

I'm with you here, Abby. When I get up, anything left from the night before is fair game for breakfast -- with cold pizza being a favorite :)

Why is pizza so much better cold?

Maybe they should sell it in supermarkets.

Nope................I typically fix or eat a fairly typical breakfast.........cereal, or eggs & toast, milk, etc. Had biscuits yesterday ------ yummy.

Have to eat within an hour or so of getting up, or I get hypoglycemia + nausea.
Bummer. Breakfast is most important meal of the day for me.

Maybe that's why I weigh 600 lbs. ha ha

I just woke up after last night. No I don't remember it before you ask hehe!

Breakfast consisted of 2 "pain au chocolat", a pint of milk and 2 pints of water. Oh yeah and a yoghurt. Had a great sleep of over 11 hours, 3am til 2:30pm :D

Ok..I won't ask *gasp* :D...but you didn't answer the question...Do you usually have a traditional breakfast or just eat leftovers, etc.?

Only the most important meal of the day! :p LOL

I used to skip breakfast all the time but I found out the hard way it does make a huge difference in not only how I feel but also it keeps me from piling on the pounds.

Oh Paleeeze! You do not weight 600lbs! LOL

I hear ya on the hypoglycemia & nausea...that is what started me finally eating breakfast..I used to get so sick to my stomach and I would shake so bad it scared me. I just can't eat until I've been up for quite awhile or it makes me gag.:(

So the Froot Loops are finally all gone?!?

I eat a slim fast Carmel bar each morning. Between that and watching fats/carbs, I have lost about 50 lbs since April.

Course I am with family on vacation this week and gained 12 back from yesterday at Golden Corral alone!

There are laws against child abuse ya know :p

I'm never hungry first thing, but I know I have to eat something before work so I usually have a small bowl of the least sugary and crunchy cereal...so I don't wake up too fast, then coffee at my desk gradually brings me round :) At the weekends it could be anything. My 14 yr old loves leftover pizza for breakfast, so we always have to make/order more than we want.

    If we're camping...well....anything goes :D

I recently started getting up at 7am everyday and eating breakfast. I used to get up in the after noons and hardly eat proper meals. Now I get up and eat two scrambled egges, two peices of toast with margarine, a small bit of apple sauce, and two glasses of orange juice. Eating that combination of food for breakfast makes me feel great and gives me lots of energy.

I should have done this years ago. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. :)

    Both :D:D

Depends what mood I'm in, if I'm in a rush then a traditional, if I'm in a can't be "bothered" mood then I'll put together whatever is in the fridge.

I used to love leftover curry for breakfast. Sadly, curry hasn't hit Oregon much yet....but I'm slowly educating them ;)

Um, semi-traditional? Weekdays it's usually a Quaker breakfast bar and a banana (if I have them). Weekends it's usually cereal (Cheerios or raisin bran, not sugared stuff) or eggs and hotcakes once in a great while.

Never cold pizza or whatever last-night's leftovers were.

I've only recently started eating cereal though. I normally have a sandwich about an hour after getting up. Mmm.. the food starts then.

Of course this explains why the last time she was home if we wanted breakfast we had to do for ourselves....:p :p :p

That old adage "there's no accounting for taste", "each to his own" or "one man's meat is another man's poison" certainly applies to MG members!

...about 200 yrs ago when I was young and fit and physically working my standard breakfast was what we call in the UK as a "fry up" or a heart attack breakfast. Mine in particular was usually, 2 or 3 rashers of bacon, a fried egg, 2 sausages, mushrooms, baked beans or tomatoes and a fried slice and 2 slices of marmalade and toast on the side. I had that every day for years and never put on an ounce as I naturally burnt it off each day.

Which is possibly why when I reached 40 or so I suddenly started to balloon and develop this permanent pregnant look. I'm officially a fat basket according to the hospital where I was weighed a couple of weeks ago.

I weighed in at eggs hatly 250lbs and was told to lose weight prior to an impending minor op due next year. The doc didn't set any particular target so I guess 245 should be classed as success!

He also said to quit smoking but due to one or two issues that's out of the window. I had in fact cut it down to 6/7 a day until recent bad news but it's shot up again and there's no way it'll be reducing for a while.

Now I take two sandwiches which normally consist of either ham, chicken, salmon or tuna fish all with some kind of salad plus a pear and a banana. One sandwich gets eaten 6.30/6.45am and the other at 10am. The fruit later as and when but boy do I miss a fry up.
